PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Middle Neck Road Bridge over the LIRR Port Washington Branch is undergoing rehabilitation to address structural needs and improve safety for vehicles, pedestrians, and rail operations. The single-span precast concrete hollow slab bridge, located in the Village of Great Neck Plaza above the LIRR Great Neck Station, requires rehabilitation of both the superstructure and substructure.
Given the bridge’s proximity to the LIRR, multiple signalized intersections, and heavy pedestrian traffic, a detailed Work Zone Traffic Control (WZTC) plan is a critical component of the design.
As part of the project team, IVY Engineering Group is providing design and support services, contributing to the preparation of the Bridge Rehabilitation Report (BRR), surveys, right-of-way documentation, construction documents, bid process assistance, and construction support services—ensuring the project is delivered safely and effectively.
