PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Gymnasium and Locker Room Upgrade at HS745K (K470 – D023382) provides structural engineering services in support of the renovation of gymnasium and locker facilities for the New York City School Construction Authority (NYCSCA) in Brooklyn. The scope includes structural drawings for a folding partition connection to the steel roof truss; review of the existing slab-on-grade to confirm adequacy for folding bleacher support; removal of existing locker curbs and design of new curbs and floor anchorage; and removal of existing slab with design of a new accessible platform with handrails to accommodate wheelchair access, including modifications to existing concrete steps.
