PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Project Management Consultant Services for ADA Accessibility Upgrades and Station Renewal (Package 6) project provides ADA-compliant elevator installations and related station renewal work at five New York City Transit stations across the Bronx and Brooklyn: Burnside Avenue (Jerome Line), Myrtle Avenue (Jamaica Line), Norwood Avenue (Jamaica Line), Middletown Road (Pelham Line), and Avenue I (Culver Line). Procured by MTA Construction & Development Company (“MTA C&D”) under a Design-Build delivery model, the work includes installation of new ADA-accessible elevators; structural and excavation work to expand station envelopes and mezzanines; upgraded electrical power and station communications systems; relocation of public and transit utilities; and reconstruction of platform edges and ADA boarding areas.

The Package also includes additional State of Good Repair (SOGR) work at Burnside Avenue Station, including platform and stair reconstruction, windscreen and canopy replacement, architectural finish repairs, structural steel and concrete repairs, and waterproofing.

IVY Engineering Group (IVY) is providing project management consultant services on behalf of MTA C&D, including procurement and technical review support for the Design-Build contract, construction management and inspection, scheduling, budgeting and cost control, safety and environmental compliance monitoring, and commissioning and close-out support through Substantial and Final Completion.
