PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Nostrand Houses Capital Improvements Program is a $400 million design-build modernization of 1,148 apartments at the Nostrand Houses in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, developed under the New York City Public Housing Preservation Trust — the first NYCHA development to vote to join the Trust. Apartments are being modernized with resident-selected kitchen and bathroom finishes as part of the development’s conversion to Project-Based Section 8 housing under the federal Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) program.

Working within an active residential community, the project team coordinates with the Trust, NYCHA, contractors, residents, and stakeholders to facilitate construction activities while minimizing disruption to daily operations.

IVY Engineering Group (IVY), as part of the project team, is providing a Construction Inspector and Environmental Project Manager — with responsibilities including schedule monitoring, quality assurance/quality control, contractor coordination, and environmental compliance oversight — helping maintain a safe and environmentally compliant construction environment throughout project execution.
